The Great Grammar Book: Mastering Grammar Usage and the Essentials of Composition by Marsha Sramek is a wonderful book which covers the essential elements of English composition and grammar usage. The work begins by evaluating the reader's level of writing through an exhaustive diagnostic test. Improvement strategies are set forth after readers have identified their level of expertise in the English language. Marsha Sramek sets forth a consistent methodology to improve writing and grammar skills in over 2000 illustrative sentences.

There are ample details which depict classic grammatical errors. Systematic writing exercises help readers to write clearly. Practical writing advice is provided for essays, research papers, business letters and personal letters. Classic errors are depicted; such as, sentence fragments, run-on sentences, fused sentences, the use of a capital letter, apostrophes and other intricate punctuation.
