Book Review: Sizzle by Katherine Garbera

Sizzle is the first book by Katherine Garbera I've read, and based on this, I'll definitely be looking out for more.

It is a hot contemporary romance (emphasis on the hot) published by Harlequin Blaze. It tells the story of Staci Rowland and Remy Cruzel, two contestants on a reality TV show, Premier Chef. The title of the book could not be any more fitting, as this book really does sizzle.

From the very beginning, there is sexual tension between the two main characters, however much they try to deny it, both to themselves and each other. As they're working and living together, however, it's difficult to stay away from one another and the attraction quickly develops into something more, even though they both have their own reasons why they shouldn't get involved.

The Premier Chef competition and secrets and lies on both their parts throw in many obstacles for Staci and Remy. Will they overcome them, or is their romance over before it has even begun?

This book is as hot as its cover... maybe even more so. As I said, the sexual tension is there throughout for the characters, and when things happen between them, it bubbles over.

Overall, I thought this was a great read, with a fun, action-packed plot (even as someone that hates cooking, I enjoyed it!), smoking hot scenes and a healthy dollop of romance. If you like your contemporary romance on the hot side, you'll enjoy Sizzle.
