Book Review: Life Lessons Learned by David R. Wommack

Part of: Reviews in Brief

Life Lessons Learned by David R. Wommack summarizes lessons learned in a career which includes accounting, multimedia, restaurant management, consulting, art, and now writing. He advises newcomers to follow their passion in pursuing a career and to deal forthrightly with customers.

Wommack starts out early discussing the importance of constructive criticism, having a comparable education and other characteristics of a successful marriage or relationship in life. In his experience,  women like the small things in life like love, appreciation and affection. In addition, he indicated that cultural events and volunteering are good places to find a life partner.  National Parks are very much affordable and interesting places to travel.

He believes that daily chores are critical to maintaining a household. In addition, low debt is a hallmark of keeping a household in order. Parents should be role models in front of children. They should be impartial and honest. Wommack extols the virtues of reading as a good hobby, as well as healthful eating and cooking simply.

Wommack talks about retiring early. In addition, he points out that nursing facilities overseas are far cheaper than the ones here. The author has traveled virtually every continent except for Antarctica. His extensive work experience, traveling and practical perspectives are evident throughout.

Life Lessons Learned is a good primer on how to plan and go about life's journey. There is something considerable in this book for everyone--particularly young graduates just starting out a career. The presentation is short and concise. The price is well affordable.
