This time, the case is personal. By the time readers finish Ice Cold, much will be left over to seriously think about. Is everything truly over? Two of the characters could easily show up down the road in a later book. A trial would continue this case a bit further.
Gerritsen is so popular — she recently got a show made about her best friends and partners in crime. Called, appropriately enough, Rizzoli and Isles, it stars Angie Harmon as Jane Rizzoli and Sasha Alexander as Maura Isles. If the latter name is unfamiliar, Alexander was on NCIS as Kate. Could some of her former costars show up on an episode? It's possible. Lauren Holly just might be available....
