Book Review: 100 Pretty Little Projects by Lark Books

100 Pretty Little Projects: Pincushions, Potholders, Purses, Pillows & More (Pretty Little Series) is a craft book that will help you get inspired in 100 different ways. These sewing projects are relatively simple to complete and feature the latest trends in fabric, design, and embellishment. All of the projects require sewing of some sort to complete them. Many of the smaller projects can be hand stitched but a majority will be easier to complete with a sewing machine. Fabrics vary and include felt, cloth and wool. Some projects are suitable for upcycling crafts and some will require new yardage to complete. None require any advanced sewing knowledge which makes this craft book the perfect choice for the casual crafter.

Sewing projects are separated into four different chapters. The first chapter, "Enjoy," features a variety of sewing projects that are stunning to look at and enjoy. Items in this chapter include beautiful, decorative quilts and wall hangings. Projects include techniques such as quilting, embroidery, and applique. The second chapter, "Give," features projects you'll create to give as gifts or maybe even to treat yourself. Just a few things I noticed in this chapter are ornaments, a fabric wrapped hanger with a coordinating sachet, a wedding memories journal and a tooth fairy pillow.

There's a wide variety of gift ideas for men, women, and children. Chapter three is titled "Use" and it is filled with handy projects that will fill a need in your life. If you're looking for coasters, potholders, pin cushions, placemats, or other useful items, this is the chapter you will find these featured. The final chapter is called "Hold" and contains projects you can use to hold things whether that is a business card holder, an eye glass case, a tote bag or a yoga mat holder.
