Beyond Bounds: A Paranormal Valentines!

Part of: Beyond Bounds: The Paranormal and Fantasy with Katie

Since today is Valentine’s Day I thought what better way to celebrate than with a little paranormal romance! Yes that’s right. Nothing says love like a nice vampire bite or a werewolf scratch. Well… not that I would say no to a dozen red roses and a box of chocolate, but if I can’t get those than I will definitely take the following books.

First and foremost on my list is To Hell and Back by Lilith Saintcrow. This is the fifth and final book in the Dante Valentine series which has to be, hands down, one of the best series I have ever read. While there is a romantic element that runs through the series the main focus is Dante Valentine, a necromancer who just happened to get on the wrong side of the Devil.

The second item on my list doesn’t come out until August 2, 2008 but I have to mention it anyway. Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer, is the fourth and final book in her Twilight series. Finally, after all this time, we will find out how Edward and Bella’s story ends. Will she or won’t she become a vampire? Will Edward turn her? What will Jacob do? I’m dying to read this book but at the same time a small part of me doesn’t want it to end.

Sherrilyn Kenyon also has a new Dream Hunter novel out called Dream Chaser. While I wasn’t too impressed with the last one I read, Upon a Midnight Clear, I still plan to pick this on up. The reviews on Amazon are much more positive. Kenyon, more often than not, delivers exactly what her readers are looking for: hot steamy sex and a decent storyline involving the otherworldly, in this case Ancient Greek gods.  Read an excerpt here!
