When the Monsters are Quiet coverWhen the Monsters are Quiet by Alicia Lloydis a great bedtime story for little ones. Even though it is designed for 1st grade reading level readers and above, I think even little ones will enjoy the book.

I love the illustrations and how they are not too scary, but do show it is late at night.

The little boy in the story is adorable and really shows how anyone can let their imagination get the best of them.

The educational guides at the back of the book — offering phonemic awareness and reading comprehension strategies — make this a great homeschool addition to an ever-growing library. Educators as well can use this in the classroom as well.
