Who hasn’t read Reader’s Digest over the years?  I know I have—and the stories contained in it were always engaging and entrancing. After 90 years of publishing stories, it still stands as one of the best places for avid readers.

This book compiles some of the best stories around timeless themes, such as joy, miracles, giving, gratitude, holidays, healing, and heroes which Reader’s Digest ever published. It is the Editors’ selection of their best stories contains work by well-known authors such as James Michener, award-winning playwright Neil Simon, Pulitzer Prize winner Alex Haley, Novelist Susan Shreve, and President Dwight E. Eisenhower, just to name a few. These stories are true tales which are meant to inspire, illuminate, and connect us emotionally.

I loved the book from beginning to end. I was transported by the stories in it. I will be taking it to my reading club and encouraging all the readers in the club to focus on these stories for a month. It is wonderful to be able to read such an inspiring book which leaves a trace of peace and happiness in your heart. The book will inspire all readers to be the best that they can be, one story at a time. I will be putting this book on my nightstand so that I could end each day on a positive note.
