Cassidy Cantrell just bought her first pair of designer boots, which she knows will impress everyone. She’s pretty sure they are going to get her the promotion she’s been angling for as well. Little does she know how much her life is about to change. Job problems and boyfriends woes send Cassidy on a search to find herself. She heads home only to find that her normal run-of-the-mill mom has changed, too – and Cassidy’s not sure it’s for the better.
Her desires, such as the boots, reflect the desires of girlie-girls everywhere and make the reader of These Boots Weren't Made For Walking take a closer look at their priorities. At the center of it all is a young woman coming of age. Through Cassidy’s struggles, the reader will learn the value of faith, friendship and fun.
Melody Carlson weaves a light-hearted, entertaining tale about a young woman trying to find her place in the world. Carlson has written over 90 books ranging from children's works to teen and adult literature. Chick-lit fans will love this tale written especially for them.
I didn’t think I was a fan of chick-lit until I read These Boots. Carlson’s wit shines through the characters and makes it fun to read. At the same time, there is still a take-away value achieved through the characters and I can say I’m a little better person after having read it.Powered by Sidelines
