What would the world be like if you were allowed to eat rich, creamy delicious food, drink martinis and still lose weight? Well, that is precisely what this book, The Martini Diet: The Self-Indulgent Way to a Thinner, More Fabulous You!, shows you how to do.

Finally, there is a diet that you can live with and actually&#8212and this is the shocker&#8212enjoy. The basic philosophy is eat rich, yummy homemade or restaurant food at meal times. Just eat less of it than they present to you, and only at meal times. No snacking and no junk food.

If you want home-made chocolate cake eat it. But throw the Twinkies and the Ho-Hos in the trash. No preservatives or additives.

Also, exercize is essential, but only exercize that you personally enjoy. If you hate the gym, don’t go. Take a walk around your neighborhood instead.

This book is about truly enjoying and luxuriating in life, and looking good while you do it.

Now if you will excuse me, there is a baked brie topped with warm apples and a glass of chilled Chardonnay with my name on it.

About Caterina Christakos

  • Caterina,

    This sounds perfect to me.

Now, I’ll have a gin martini, stirred not shaken please, with one olive.

I lost three and a half stone following a new way of eating I devised, which is remarkably similar to this. I’m a food snob but it sheds the pounds, so I’ll recommend it.
