The Joys of Juicing by The Health Informant discusses the many benefits of juicing, provides advice on selecting a juicer, discusses juicing to lose weight, juicing detoxification and juicing for health or wellness. The book explains how raw fruits and vegetables are processed into a juiced or pudding state.

The book demonstrates that digestion time is reduced by juicing. There are some very important criteria for selecting a juicer. Examples of these criteria include nutritional value, yield, adaptability, processing time, cleanup time, noise and price.

There are a number of juicer types; namely, masticating, the single auger and the twin gear juicer. The book describes the benefits of juicing for weight loss by utilizing fruits and vegetables. There are low carbohydrate fruits; such as, apples, peaches, cantaloupe, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and cranberries.

The presentation includes a section on liver cleansing which is important to improve fatty liver problems. The liver cleanse includes vegetables like spinach, lettuce, kale, celery, parsley, cucumber and beet juice.

A strength of the work is that the book provides a number of delicious and healthful juicing tips. For instance, carrot juice may be prepared by juicing red beets, carrots, red apples, a piece of ginger and a portion of a whole lemon.

The Joys of Juicing is an excellent resource for preparing healthful food mixes for dieters, as well as health buffs who insist upon eating whole foods or derivatives thereof. More and more physicians are supporting the notion that whole food is needed for its high nutrient value and aid in purging the gastrointestinal system of toxins which accumulate over the period of months and even years.

This book will be useful for anyone who contemplates making a considerable commitment of time and money toward the purchase and use of a juicing machine or fruits/vegetables processor.

Thank you. The fiber alone from eating fresh food is necessary for purging the system of toxins which accumulate for a variety of reasons.
