The HCG Diet Quick Start Cookbook: 30 Days To A Thinner You by Anne W. Wolfinger is an excellent book for dieters seeking to lose a great deal of weight in a short period of time. The Wolfinger diet utilizes a daily intake of HCG (human chorionic gonadotrophin hormone) together with a low calorie diet preferably under medical supervision. The author provides a website to amplify this protocol further.

The author explains the three layers of fat in the human physiology. The layers include structural fat to protect the joints, normal fat used for continuous fuel and abnormal fat which provides a defense against starvation. The diet seeks to penetrate the abnormal fat which is hard to eliminate completely under conventional diets.

Under Phase One, the author shows how people can load up on fat to reduce hunger craves in the first couple of weeks. Shortly afterward, Phase Two consists of a 500 calorie diet for three-five weeks. The HCG causes a 1500-4000 calorie a day release from abnormal fat stores. Phase Three ends after the final dose of HCG. No starch or sugar can be taken during this last phase.

Wolfinger provides a number of excellent food preparations. For instance, a typical Phase Two meal includes a choice of veal, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab or shrimp. Dieters are asked to make a different protein choice for dinner than at lunch. Low intensity exercises are combined with the diet; such as, a 30-60 minute walk each day.

This diet is intended to provide new ways to accomplish portion control. New foods are added to the daily diet and carbohydrates are controlled very carefully. The author suggests that you have progress monitored medically, as well as combining diet and moderate exercise.

Wolfinger provides a huge list of foods under the new diet. Examples of the allowed foods include coffee, tea, bottled water, bread sticks, sea salt, ground pepper, low sodium beef, chicken, garlic, tomato paste, dry cranberries, stevia, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, onion flakes, cinnamon, oregano, basil, parsley, cayenne, sesame seeds and tumeric to mention just a few. The book provides a quick starter menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The HCG Diet Quick Start Cookbook has an excellent presentation for dieters and their physicians seeking to implement the HCG dietary protocol. The presentation is written for a general audience.

Several decades ago, I passed the CPA examination and obtained another license in Computer Information Systems Auditing. A CISA must have knowledge in the areas of data center review, systems applications, the operating system of the computer, disaster recovery, contingency planning, developmental systems, the standards which govern facility reviews and a host of other areas. An MBA in Accounting with an Advanced Professional Certificate in Computer Applications/ Information Systems , an Advanced Professional Certificate in Finance and an Advanced Professional Certificate in Organizational Design were earned at New York University-Graduate School of Business (Stern ).
