The Four Hour Body: An Uncommon Guide to Rapid Fat-Loss, Incredible Sex,
and Becoming Superhuman
by Timothy Ferris is a popular book on how to integrate exercise and dietary changes into the diet to produce more optimal health. The author introduces classic exercises, vitamin and food tonics to enhance health.

For instance, swinging a 20 kg. kettlebell facilitates strength building and torque range of motion in just one simple exercise demonstrated in the book. Kettlebell exercises build strength and endurance in areas like the lower back, legs and shoulders. Grip strength is also enhanced with kettlebell training.

The two legged glute activator lift is promoted to strengthen stomach muscles during a floor exercise. The myotatic crunch involves sitting on an exercise ball to do stretches and crunches. In addition, there is a modified myotatic crunch
exercise with weights. The book has extensive charts depicting these and other exercises.

Optimal toe stretching exercises are provided together with muscle activation techniques. Body balancing may be accomplished with the deep squat lunge and straight leg raises. The flying dog extension is shown with the right arm  supporting the body and the left leg extended. The front plank exercise has the upper body resting on the arms. The side plank exercise has the arm ninety percent extended and the body resting diagonally.

The optimal training frequency is a single intensive session weekly according to Ferris. In addition, the optimal waist/hip ratio is seventy percent. Good body abs are consistent with less than twelve percent body fat.

Ferris recommends a high protein breakfast in order to avoid domino foods like cookies. The author even shows how to enhance testosterone through fermented cod liver oil, butterfat, vitamin D3 at three thousand or more milligrams and nuts.

The Four Hour Body is a great book for enhancing the current physical exercise regimen and diet. The exercises are simple to do. The book has plenty of pictures to depict the various techniques in action. The presentation is easy to read. The book should be implemented in consultation with your medical care providers.
