Ed Miller, Sunny Mehta and Matt Flynn did an excellent job writing this book for the Small Stakes No Limit Hold´em Player. It focuses mainly on key concepts of the $1/2 online 6max No Limit Cash Games. Ed Miller is an experienced author and poker player and so explaining tricky poker concepts is something he does very well, making it easy to understand.

Small Stakes No-Limit Hold’em covers different topics, such as using equity for your decisions, stealing, barreling, 3-betting light, planning big bluffs, balancing and many more. It is not a book for the beginning poker player and you should have a fairly grounded poker game to get the best out of it. Poker newbies should go for something more basic like The Little Green Book by Phil Gordon.

Ed Miller is a genius in explaining difficult poker concepts very clearly. The key concepts in this book are fairly advanced to beat the $1/2 No Limit Holdem Online games. These games used to be quite easy a few years ago but are not beatable for the most players anymore. Read the concepts, work with the concepts and internalize the concepts and you will beat these games for a very good hourly rate. The hand examples are fine but are kept in the text. It´s a matter of taste but i would prefer some separate graphic. The writing is very clear and precise and even though the poker key concepts are more advanced it´s not difficult to read.

Overall, Small Stakes No-Limit Hold’em has improved my poker game a lot and I would highly recommend it to every No Limit Hold’em Player.
