Em is newly divorced from her husband and broke, so when she gets a letter from the Hula Maidens, along with a one-way plane ticket requesting that she come to Kauai to help her Uncle Louie run the Tiki Goddess Bar she doesn’t have to think twice. She quickly turns the place around so that it’s actually making a profit and business is booming until a fateful evening turns their life around.

When Harold, the curmudgeonly next door neighbor turns up dead in their fire pit, everyone involved with the Tiki Goddess Bar is under suspicion! As Em and the Hula Maidens try to unravel the mystery and find the real killer, things get very dangerous for them!

Mai Tai One Own is a great summer read. The characters are fun and loveable – I hope I’m having as much fun as the Hula Maidens when I’m their age! The mystery isn’t a hard one to solve, but it’s fun to go along with! I can’t wait to see what the characters will be up to next – I’m especially excited to see what comes of Em and Roland, the sexy local detective!

Jill Marie Landis has written over twenty-five novels which have earned distinguished awards and slots on such national bestseller lists as the USA TODAY Top 50 and the New York Times Best Sellers Plus. She is now penning The Tiki Goddess Series which begins with Mai Tai One Own.
