Like Chiropractic for Elephants: How Animal Chiropractic Can Change Your (And Your Animal’s) World by Dr. Rod Block delves into the evolving world of animal health care based on Block’s experience treating elephants, horses, pigs, dogs, cats and many other animals with animal chiropractic.

The 92-page Like Chiropractic for Elephants: How Animal Chiropractic Can Change Your (And Your Animal’s) World is geared toward those looking for alternative ways to treat illness or health concerns with their pets, and throughout the book, Block shares how animals know what we know and that our “animal spirits” have much to teach us about awareness, empathy and personal discovery.
Like Chiropractic for Elephants: How Animal Chiropractic Can Change Your (And Your Animal’s) World begins with a “trunk call” as Block shares his experience of using chiropractic on his first elephant patient. From there, he tells of his youth and being raised as an observant Jew and how his love of animals was innate. He grows up and becomes a human chiropractor, but feels there is a higher calling to work with animals. As the reader follows Block’s growth, there is insight into his view of life that recognizes and responds to the intuitive and perceptive right brain rather than the more traditional logical left brain.
Like Chiropractic for Elephants: How Animal Chiropractic Can Change Your (And Your Animal’s) World is an easy read and in it Block explains “hemispheric hopping” as well as “Quantum Shamanetics” and “Peta Physics” that he uses to interpret energy flows and communication in the animals he is treating.
It is left up to the reader to determine if this is magic, spirituality, science, skill or combinations of all of those things.
