According to the introduction of I’m Not Done With You Yet and Other True Erotic Tales, it “Goes right for the good stuff. Nothing but my true-life stories about BDSM, fetishes, and any and every kind of f**king I’ve experienced.” Indeed, that aptly sums up this book by the blogster behind DaisyDanger. Essentially it is a journal/diary that recounts in a first-person narrative a variety of kinky sexual scenarios that Daisy Danger has indulged in with different partners over an unspecified period of time.

This format potentially could have resulted in a dreadfully boring read, but fortunately that is not how this book turned out. Instead of simply recording the events in a matter-of-fact journalistic manner, Ms. Danger writes them like scenes in a fictional piece, complete with dialogue, and in so doing gives the participants and activities verisimilitude – the only thing missing is a plot.

Essentially what emerges is a memoir of sexual adventures selected for their interest factor and diversity. For the most part the stories involve heterosexual participants, with the female submissive to some degree, but a fair sampling includes blurred or switched orientation and/or roles.

Perhaps the most notable thing about this book is that the kink really happened, it was not created from a writer’s imagination and woven into a fictional story. When readers relate to a person, observation, activity or outcome, they are doing so to something real, not artificial. This feature may appeal more to readers with real-world alternative lifestyle experience than ones who are wannabes.

Before reading I’m Not Done With You Yet and Other True Erotic Tales, it is important to keep in mind that this is not an erotic book where you can get lost in the fantasies that the author creates. It is a series of kinky episodes that actually happened, and whether they serve as masturbation fodder, intellectual stimulation or both, and to what degree, will depend upon the sensibilities of the reader. I enjoyed it, but your mileage may vary.

About Jim Lyon

Jim Lyon began writing erotica in the mid 1990s and served as story editor for the now-defunct Ownme.com before his first femdom-themed erotic novellas, Uncharted Territory and The Accidental Domme, were published as e-books by Sizzler Editions. Jim is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. He left high school in his senior year to live the bohemian life in New York City's Greenwich Village and Lower East Side. Not being a big fan of cold weather and crowded tenements, Jim returned to the West Coast within six months and lived in Berkeley during the tumultuous mid to late 1960s and early 1970s. While there, his claims to fame include being folksinger Malvina Reynolds' neighbor/tenant and part owner of the Northside Theater, a repertory cinema of considerable renown. After leaving Berkeley, Jim put himself through college and earned a B.A. in Journalism from USC. His eclectic career since then has encompassed editing, writing, business management, social work, teaching, and web publishing, with stops in northern and southern California, Hawaii, Florida and Oregon.
