This is a great book for beginning writers as well as more seasoned ones. It is a resource that belongs on all writer’s bookshelves as a book that should be referred to again and again.

The best part of the book is the section on the process of writing. As a writer, I know how important understanding the purpose of writing, establishing your readership, brainstorming, organizing, drafting, and revising your content is to the success of any manuscript that you write. Without taking these various components of the writing process into consideration and applying them to manuscripts, a writer won’t be successful.

In addition, Brown has a very helpful section on E-writing. The important point that she makes in this section is that she believes that E-writing should follow the same six-step process as for longer manuscripts. This is a very important point for bloggers to take into consideration because many blog writers produce less than perfect content. This can ruin their reputation as writers very quickly.

The rest of the book focuses on other kinds of writing such as writing for weddings, fundraisers, funerals, writing for school and work, writing to promote oneself, and how to prepare the perfect resume, one that will win you the job of your dreams.

What a valuable resource! This book will be on my reference shelf for many years to come. I will also be blogging about it so that people could purchase this wonderful book for themselves.

Thank you, Laura Brown, for such a GREAT resource for writers!
