Right off the bat I could tell that Help Me Get Rid of My Psycho Girlfriend by John Martin and Cecilia Ribenc would be an easy and enjoyable read. The plot is simple enough: the protagonist is an undemanding man named Greg who feels that the time with his girlfriend of 12 years, Debbie, has come to an end. He so desperately wants to end it, but how can he when he has dreams of her killing him whenever he tries to break it off? He would say goodbye, but the problem with that is Debbie has some serious problems and could be considered psychotic.
Debbie constantly makes herself the victim. This in turn makes it hard for Greg to be honest with her for fear that she will cry. When Greg leaves town to go to a company retreat, Debbie follows close behind believing his intentions to be malicious.
Help Me Get Rid of My Psycho Girlfriend has so many laughs along with twists and turns that it will make you sit on the edge of your seat with anticipation. John Martin and Cecilia Ribenc did a fantastic job exploiting crazy girlfriends all over the world. After reading this book, I have now started to watch my own actions when it comes to my boyfriend. I so badly do not want to turn into a Debbie; I know for sure that girls like her do exist.
Help Me Get Rid of My Psycho Girlfriend put permanent wrinkles on my face thanks to all the laugh bursts this great comedy brought me with its unique characters and crazy situations.
