Judge Jeanine As a fan of Judge Jeanine Pirro, I looked forward to her new novel Clever Fox . When it arrived in the mail I couldn’t wait to start reading. I took a break from my usual Saturday chores to get a few chapters read. Well, I couldn’t put the book down. I read it from start to finish. I didn’t even pause to take the dogs outside; I took it with me.

I love Dani Fox the protagonist and alter-ego of Judge Jeanine. Dani is a fictional version of the author. She was the first female assistant district attorney, the first female elected district attorney and female judge of Westchester county New York. Judge Jeanine takes us behind the scenes of the courtroom and the politically motivated system. We get a glimpse of how things get done and how cooperation or lack thereof affects a case.

But it’s not all courtroom drama; there is love, mystery and suspense. Dani falls in love but begins to feel suspicious of her boyfriend’s possible involvement in a crime she’s investigating. She tries to resist the attention of a powerful attractive FBI agent while working closely with him.

This sequel to Sly Fox is suspenseful and entertaining. Dani’s verbal exchanges with Detective O’Brien will make you laugh. The drama and unexpected ending may make you cry. You won’t be disappointed! I look forward to the next installment of the Dani Fox series by Judge Jeanine Pirro.
