Kats’ book is a serious exploration of how it is to live as a disabled child. The story has a very uplifting ending, one that will inspire readers of all ages to believe that life doesn’t have to be grim just because you’re different from other people.
Cinderella’s Magical Wheelchair is a story about a disabled girl who is constantly taunted and abused by her sisters and step-mother. Cinderella does so much for her family on a daily basis and puts up with their antics. However, when Cinderella wants to attend a Royal costume ball and meet the Prince, her family does everything to make sure that she doesn’t go, including trashing her wheelchair. But then something very special happens and she is given a rare opportunity that even her abusive sisters and step-mother can’t believe.
What a courageous and inspiring story! Many disabled kids who feel different will be able to relate to this story and to Cinderella’s daily plight. This is a book that will show that kids in a wheelchair can achieve whatever their hearts desire. Here is a Cinderella story like no other. Can true love be far behind for this wonderful Cinderella? And how about marriage? I will leave it to the reader to find out.
