Blue OctoberPlatinum-selling rock band Blue October has announced an August 16, 2011 release date for its new album, Any Man In America. Produced by frontman Justin Furstenfeld, along with Tim Palmer (U2, Robert Plant), the release will be handled by Up/Down Records, an imprint founded by Furstenfeld.

In support of the album, the band has released a Merritt Fields-directed music video for the song “The Feel Again (Stay),” which can be viewed below.

“The Feel Again (Stay)” is now available on iTunes, following the release of “The Chills” last month.

Blue October - SingleAbout the new single and video, Furstenfeld comments, “I was separated at the time, and my daughter was in Nebraska while I moved back to Texas alone. I decided to document everything. If I messed up along the way, I’d tell that too. I called the album my ‘Audio Journal’ as I was writing. I didn’t want the music to just be about me though. I wanted it to help other fathers in America who might be going through the same thing.”

Blue October will kick off a U.S. tour on August 17 in its home state of Texas.
