Potential Blogging Code of Conduct

Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and “Web 2.0" blogger Tim O’ Reilly have posted a draft of their blogging code of conduct. The code has been drawn up to after concern of online bullying. It is being proposed that all bloggers adopt the code of conduct. The draft of the code has seven points, including one that would likely do away with anonymous commenting. The bloggers who subscribe to the code would display a badge that says “civility enforced” with non-code bloggers would have their blogs dubbed, “anything goes”.

Fall Out Boy postpone tour

Fall Out Boy has announced that they will be pushing back their tour. The Honda Civic Tour was set to start on April 18th but will now begin on May 11th. The shows that have been postponed have been rescheduled at the end of the tour except for the show in Anaheim set for May 1st. The tour is being postponed because of health and personal issues, with the band’s website saying that none of the members are in rehab. Joining Fall Out Boy on the tour are The Academy Is…, Paul Wall, (+44), and Cobra Starship.

Madonna to play Live Earth

Madonna has announced that she will be playing the London Live Earth concert. The Live Earth concerts will be held on July 7th around the world. Madonna will be joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, James Blunt and Genesis at London’s Wembley Stadium. Also on the bill will be The Foo Fighters, Paolo Nutini, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, and Corinne Bailey Rae among others. Tickets will be available through ballot. Music fans will be allowed to register starting on Friday. Registration will be open for 72 hours. Registrants will only be allowed to purchase two tickets. Ticket prices will be around GBP 55. Further details will be announced soon regarding the concerts in America, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Johannesburg and Sydney.
