….a court in Michigan ruled yesterday that Fred Durst was not to blame for injuries suffered by a paramedic at a Limp Bizkit gig back in 2000. Christopher Dickinson had filed a lawsuit after he was trampled on and allegedly attacked during a Bizkit gig while trying to help a female fan who had passed out. Dickinson said the incident was caused by Durst inviting fans watching the gig from a balcony to “come downstairs” to the main floor, and therefore he, his band and his management were liable for his various injuries, and the negative impact the incident had had on his life as a whole.
However the court ruled unanimously that the person who actually kicked Dickinson, and only that person, could be held liable. Despite suggesting fans should move downstairs, Durst, the band, or the venue were not liable for the isolated incident.
