The Winners of the 2013 Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners in America Award have been announced.
The International Chocolate Salon Awards for the Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners in America are based on the combined total number of Gold and Silver Awards received by each entrant in the 2012 TasteTV Chocolate Salons in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Fall (SF) and standalone Chocolate Salon Award Competitions for Best Caramels, Toffees, Bars, Truffles, Chefs Roundtable, and Best Bridal Chocolates.
The 6-Star Award Winners are Amano Artisan Chocolate, CocoTutti, Forte Chocolates, La Chatelaine Chocolat Co., Marti Chocolatt, and Sixth Course Artisan Confections.
The 5-Star Award Winners are AMELLA, Chocolot, Chuao Chocolatier, DEUVO Gourmet Sweets, Droga Confections, Feve Artisan Chocolatier, Marco Paolo Chocolates, Mignon Chocolate, Socola Chocolatier, The TeaRoom Chocolate Co., Toffee Talk, and William Dean Chocolates.

The award levels are based on the number of accumulated Gold or Silver Level Awards a chocolatier or confectioner has earned for a TasteTV Chocolate Salon or Competition in 2012. The levels are tallied as follows:
20+ points = 6-Star Award
10+ points = 5-Star Award
1+ points = 4-Star Award
