Sony 1000 Watt 5-Disc Home Theater System, DAV-DX250 - $394
Sorry for the lack of updates. Accept this Sony deal as my apology.

Bringing Bountiful Bargains
Sorry for the lack of updates. Accept this Sony deal as my apology.

The JVC Everio is a glimpse into the future. It is one of the first camcorders I have heard of from a major company that records entirely to a digital medium. This makes it so that transfers to the computer are quicker and easier. This camcorder features an SD card slot and transfers via USB 2.0. The 4 gigs on-board will give you around 60 minutes of recording capacity. This is a refurbished item, but even so, it is still quite a bargain over the other Froogle prices.

JVC GZ-MC100 Everio 4GB Microdrive Digital Camcorder - $549.99
It may not be the latest and greatest home theater setup that money can buy, but it might be the largest value. Plus, it isn’t some brand you have never heard of. RCA sounds pretty good compared to some of the low quality brands out there. So, don’t hesitate. This is the liquidation bin at Overstock.com.

Features include:
100W total system power
4 x 15W L/R, main, rear speakers
15W center channel speaker
25W subwoofer
Digital Cinema and Video mode
Progressive Scan
Dolby Pro Logic II
DTS surround decoding
Five main discrete channels
20Hz-20kHz frequency response
Component video output
Remote control (requires two AAA batteries–not included)
Speaker cables and video cable included
Do you have a horrendous commute on public transportation? Do you have a video iPod? Well, iTunes has just started adding SNL archives to their downloadable video clips. I guess the free download of The Chronicles of Narnia Beastie Boys Ripoff sketch was influential enough so that Lorne Michaels and company decided to make their stuff available. Seems very cool to me. No longer will you be stuck listening to audio on that commute. You can giggle at Will Ferrell doing his best impersonation of Alex Trebec, or the Cowbell Guy. Don’t worry, you can fast forward through those damn cheerleader sketches.

DVD: SCTV, Volume 2
I first stumbled onto SCTV while channel surfing late on a Sunday night during the Carter administration. Saturday Night Live was still going strong at the time, but this was SUNDAY night, so SCTV was a much needed comedy fix several hours before I had to begin yet another miserable work week at a job that was almost as much fun as walking barefoot on thumbtacks.

The October 19, 2002 Saturday Night Live with John McCain rocked hard. I was about to fall out of my goddam chair laughing at the Hardball show. “Osama Bin Laden is a house negro.” “Craze-o. Cra-a-aze-o Harry Belafonte is a crazy mo-fo.”

There are some very nice deals happening right now in the Circuit City Outlet. You can get up to 60% off on some really great items. In particular, I am looking at that Philips Divx compatible portable DVD player. With Divx you can fit a ton of hours of video on a single DVD and that would be great for when I am traveling around.

I am so happy with the LCD tv that I got this year, that I figured I should share the love with all of you. So, now you can get a 20″ tv that will brighten up any room and take up less space.

Are you properly looking ahead toward the Super Bowl? Well if you want to have the baddest party on the block, you will need a humongous TV. Sure it would be nice to have a flat screen plasma, but that would cost a lot more money than this old-school rear projection model that will more than impress all your friends in between those wonderful scoopable tortilla chips.

If you are going to buy any kind of projection TV, this might be one to consider. It is ultra thin for a projection TV. The other ones are huge and boxy and don’t easily fit into smaller spaces, but when you consider that this TV is 61 inches and take a look at that ultra thin picture, it is quite amazing.
