Sometimes posting bargains is easier than other times. It isn’t just a matter of going to the company’s website and pointing my little finger and saying, “Yes. That is the one.”
I have to go to the site. Find the cool deals. Go to the special page and see if I can put the link up here. Not all deals can be linked for whatever reason. Unfortunately one of the linking programs that sometimes gives me hassles is Overstock.com. It is working RIGHT NOW, so here come the late day Overstock.com bargains.

Bargain IBM Laptop for $499.99 - This one might not be here long. This laptop isn’t a “brand new, cutting edge, let’s replace the desktop with a laptop” type of thing that you might find brand new on other sites, but the IBM laptops are built like little micro-processor-containing tanks. They last nearly forever, and if you are looking to put some computing ability in your living room so you can search the internet this computer is great. If you need something that will allow you to stay in bed and not face the day watching DVD’s all day long, then this is your deal. With portable DVD players costing between $100 and $500 bucks, why not also get a machine that will let you surf the net and play solitaire?

Oh, and if you want to backup that old copy of The Breakfast Club to DVD, you should probably combo your last purchase with this one. $100 for a DVD writer is pretty sweet. It doesn’t make much sense to copy one movie, but if you look at that entire VHS collection and possibly the home movies of you singing in the Christmas, errr Holiday choir when you were 7 years old, then this DVD writer starts to pay some serious dividends. You know you want those movies to live forever. Your best chance is getting them off that antiquated plastic tape that is just one wrong move away from being destroyed.

Sometimes I come up with a product and I don’t know if it is a good deal or not. All I look is to see if the overall price is reasonable for the coolness factor. In this case, I have no basis to judge the cost to value ratio of an alarm clock that projects the time on the wall or ceiling. I just know that it sounds pretty cool, and for under $20 it is the kind of product purchase gambling that a whole lot of people wouldn’t be too offended. I may need to purchase one of these for myself because my eyes continually get worse and it would be fun to see a big time projection on my ceiling.
