I lived in London for eight years, where I was a consultant to several universities, including Cambridge. I am the author of the Bella and Britt series picture books (Guardian Angel Publishers). The first in the series, One Pelican at a Time, was on the Amazon Bestsellers for Children’s List for eighteen weeks. I was featured in the PBS feature, GulfWatch. It concerned my writing of One Pelican at a Time: A Story of the Gulf Oil Spill. My authorized biography of Katrina Simpkins, Katrina and Winter: Partners in Courage, the story of Katrina and Winter, the dolphin, was released by Guardian Angel Publishers in March, 2012. I am a frequent presenter at SCBWI conferences and in June taught an all-day intensive workshop on non-fiction at the SCBWI Orlando Mid-Year Workshop.
