Arnold Wins!

Arnold wins! Love him, hate him, indifferent, or disgusted because the whole recall seems like a bad movie, people are fascinated with Arnold Schwarzenegger, a literally larger-than-life figure with a mythic if checkered past.

We have a number of stories on Arnold and the recall:

TOTAL RECALL: The Terminator Rules – Oh the Irony of it All
I am rarely surprised when it comes to elections like this and much will be written about the meaning of this recall. Roger Simon says we are witnessing the death of the two-party system. Bill Wallo believes it is the…

TIME OF THE LEMMINGS
It’s already old news that the lemmings have spoken. But now that they’ve elected Arnold Schwarzenegger as governator of Culifornia, what’s next? Running Clint Eastwood for president? Re-animating Sylvester Stallone and running him for senator? That’s too obvious. How about…

Keep it Zipped Until the Polls Close

Character Assasination’s Politics of Cowards, Paradox Remains
Smearing the front-runner is old-hat in politics, but the real question is this: will Californians re-elect an angry staff-beating governor, or vote for a lusting philanderer, similar to Bill Clinton, who may be able to fix California’s economy, making it the golden gate to opportunity, once again.

Schwarzenegger and Enron
It’s not an insignificant connection. Arnold Schwarzenegger met with Ken Lay and others at the height of the California energy crisis. Why? Schwarzenegger isn’t saying. He doesn’t “remember” the meeting at all. Doesn’t deny it. Just doesn’t “remember.” Will we get to the bottom of this by Oct. 7? Hell no. Another good reason to vote no on the recall.

Why Arnold Is Good For Republican Party, California
Arnold has flaws, sure, but for the most part, they’re no different than former President Bill Clinton’s. His flaws, though, take a back seat to the fact that he could be just what the Republican Party and California need to save themselves from themselves.
