Be Very Afraid!

These days anything that white, middle class, Christian North Americans or Europeans say about ANY minority is termed racist, bigoted, politically incorrect, and just plain wrong.

But put the shoe on the other foot, and we're fair game! Here is one quick example!

Female students at a new Islamic school in England will be made to wear head scarves regardless of their religion, it was revealed yesterday. The Madani High School in Leicester will be required by law to accept 10 per cent of its 600 pupils from a non-Muslim background. But, girls who are not Muslim will still have to abide by a rule insisting all female pupils cover their heads as part of the uniform.

In North American, society's minorities are now calling the shots on what is acceptable or not to the general population although there seems to be a growing backlash to being "politically correct."

(This, by the way, is also why in the masthead of my blog I refer to my self as a White, Anglo-Saxon Protestant, middle aged, hetrosexual male - an "endangered species." I used to be part of the great majority but am slowly becoming marginalized.)

Here is what it is coming down to!

*We are now African American, Mexican American, Asian American, Arab American, Native American, etc. And when you pass me on the street you sneer in my direction.

*You call me Whitey, Cracker, Honky, - and that’s O.K. But when I call you Nigger, Kike, Towel Head, Sand-Monkey, Camel Jockey, Gook or Chink........... you call me a racist.

*You have BET. If we had WET(White Entertainment Television) we’d be racists. If we had a White Pride Day you would call us racists. If we had White History Month, we’d be racists. If we had any organization for only whites to “advance” our lives, we’d be racists.

*If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships, you know we’d be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US, yet if there were “White colleges” that would be a racist college.

*Women want to be equal to men in every way and yet we are still expected to hold the door for you and pay for our date. (Whether you even go on a date depends on the type of car I drive.)

*In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.

*You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

*We are not allowed to say "Mery Christmas" anymore in case this offends Muslims or Jews or Buddhists. Now it's just "Happy Holidays" or "Best of the Season!"

*We are not allowed to pray in our institutions or declare; "so help me God," in our courts! We are not allowed to erect a nativity scene outside of City Hall or in front of public buildings.

*At the same time non-Mulsim girls have to cover their heads out respect for the Islamic ladies in their school and minorities get hired ahead of better qualified people to insure an equitable "ethnic mix" amongst our co-workers.

I hope you get my point, it's turning into a one way street where "minorities" can condemn, criticize and call the shots, but not the other way around!

One of the best examples of this was a few years back here in Canada when an East-Indian Sikh joined the Mounties. He knew what the terms and conditions were going in, but then once he was accepted he suddenly started claiming his "right" to wear a "Turban" on religious grounds rather than the standard Mountie "Hat!"

If he wasn't willing to conform to the rules he should have stated so at the beginning and not pulled a sneak attack after he was hired. (By the way, the courts allowed him to keep the "Turban!")
