By now most of us know that wine and chocolate go well together, and wine and chocolate tastings are growing in popularity.

TasteTV decided, however, to take it several steps further, and is now working with custom winemaker, Crushpad Incorporated, to create what could be described as the "ultimate wine for chocolates lovers."

What makes it even more exciting is that the panel who decides on the blend for this wine is composed of TasteTV, Crushpad winemakers, artisan chocolatiers, members of the food and wine media, and chocolate lovers at public wine and chocolate tastings.

The design team for this one of a kind boutique wine will jointly decide on the flavor components that should be blended into the first chocolatiers' cult wine: Domaine de Taste Amerique: Chocolate Seizure 2008.

Chocolatiers involved in the project include artisans such as:

• Cosmic Chocolate
• SchoggiTCHO
• The TeaRoom Chocolates
• Saratoga Chocolates
• Newtree America - Gourmet Belgian Chocolate

In technology terms, this could be called an "open source" wine because of its democratic process, and the final blend selected to be "the ultimate wine for chocolates lovers" will definitely be greater than the sum of its parts.
