Julia Burton Will Open for Country Singer for Jo Dee Messina
Published August 19, 2008
The former Miss West Virginia Julia Burton will now open for country legend, Jo Dee Messina. Julia will head back to her homeland and open for Jo Dee Messina on August 30th at 7PM at the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta. Julia is pleased to kick off Labor Day weekend in West Virginia; Julia has many fans in West Virginia, all of whom have supported her throughout her musical experience. In the past, Burton has opened for great acts like Kool and the Gang, The Commodores and Wynonna.
This performance serves to support of her new single, “What A Woman Wants,” with Emerald River Records. Julia will shoot a music video in Nashville for the new single on September 8th and 9th. The new single is extremely good. Very country and very upbeat. It’s fun and flirty and it lists everything a woman wants … credit card with no limit and a cell phone with a million minutes. Yes, I would want that. I would buy the song. When is this girl’s album coming out? I want it.
Working with Julia is former Sr. VP/General Manager Warner Bros. Records, Bob Saporiti and musician and record producer Biff Watson. Biff is also working with Hilljack and Emma Mae Jacob. Biff said about Julia, “"We're really excited about sharing this single with the fans and bringing it into homes and onto the stage. We've really got a stellar team."
Besides music, Julia works hard as a national spokeswoman for the Boys and Girls Club. The Boys and Girls club provides a place for kids who need a place to interact. The goal of the club is to keep kids off the streets. It’s a positive environment for kids.
If you’re in the area labor day weekend, go catch Julia Barton. She’s pretty good and an up-and-coming country act who’s worth following.
