Welcome back to the Movie Media column, featuring trailers, posters, and clips for upcoming films. Some are nice and fresh and some aren't. However, they all have something in common: for better or worse, they all caught my attention. If there is a poster or trailer you think I should check out, be sure to let me know.

This week's movie goodies include posters, trailers, and stills for a few upcoming flicks, a comparison of two interpretations of the same character, a parody scene, and more!

Watchmen - Trailer

Last year, Zack Snyder stepped up to the plate and delivered an electrifying film in 300; like it or not the movie was awesome. This was after he made me a believer with his surprisingly good remake of Dawn of the Dead. Now he has tackled another Frank Miller creation in Watchmen, a superhero tale to end all tales. The trailer looks spectacular. This looks like it could redefine the genre. Of course, it is a trailer and much has yet to be seen to know if the movie is any good, but this looks promising.

The Spirit - Trailer

The full trailer is here, and it looks spectacular. While Zack Snyder is busy adapting his second Frank Miller creation for the screen (Watchmen), Frank Miller is trying his hand at directing. He was credited as co-director with Robert Rodriguez on Sin City, now steps out on his own to direct a feature film adapted from one of his idol's creations. Will Eisner's The Spirit is coming to the screen in an impressively visual style that takes the look of Sin City to the next level.

Blindness - Poster, Trailer

I am really looking forward to this film. It seems to bear a passing resemblance to The Happening, but feels distinctly different. It is from director Fernando Merielles who has also helmed the excellent The Constant Gardener and City of God. This film stars Julianne Moore as a woman in a world where nearly the entire world is stricken by blindness. Sounds creepy!

Babylon AD - Trailer

Here is a movie that has had a few roadblocks on its way to the big screen. It is a big budget science fiction/action film that seems to be being advertised as an afterthought. There have been problems during the production (specifically, I do not know) and a cut by the studio primarily to remove ten minutes and nothing more. That said, the trailer does look interesting with its Blade Runner seasoning. Vin Diesel stars along with Michelle Yeoh. Matthieu Kassvitz returns to the director's chair for the first time since 2003's Gothika.
