<description>You are right that there is a common thread to many of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wines found in North America. What is interesting is when visiting visiting wine shops and restaurants in New Zealand the selections are much different than found here. New Zealand has many wine makers whose wine ideas have been influenced by wine regions from around the world and you will find Sauvignon blanc with barrel aging or fermenting, more lees contact and fruit that has a consistency to the ripeness at harvest. Not to mention the terrior.

You either have to go visit to enjoy or go on a treasure hunt here. I guess this is the joy of wine.</description>
