Making the Rounds at General Hospital: Johnny Covers for Lulu

After showing up at Sonny’s house looking to get him in bed again, it was painfully obvious that Claudia was dealing with the fight she’d had with her dad and her own inner demons. She was determined to prove her father right about her being a slut, but was rebuffed by Sonny when he told her that he was in love with Kate. I think it was really great that he saw through what she was doing instead of taking advantage of the situation to start trouble with the Zacharras. Not only that, he tried to help put things into perspective for her after she told him about her past with Trevor and what happened with Anthony.

As soon as they realized Lulu may be in danger, Maxie and Johnny raced over to Johnny’s apartment. They found Logan dead on the floor and a rightly spooked Lulu. She explained what happened, fully ready to call the cops and take the blame, but Maxie and Johnny tried to persuade her that she needed to cover it up. Their reasoning was that Scott would not buy the whole self-defense excuse, since she’d already put him in the hospital once. Before Lulu could make a decision either way, Claudia came home and Johnny stepped up and said he killed Logan.

Skeptical of this, Claudia questioned everyone in the house to see if their stories matched up. Maxie and Johnny both covered up for Lulu’s growing sense of conscience in order to sell the story to Claudia, who bought it. While Lulu and Maxie went off to Kelly’s to stage a public fight as an alibi, Johnny and Claudia plotted to get rid of Logan’s body.

Just as Jason had gotten Carly all calmed down about Jax and Kate’s kiss, Spinelli came home and spilled the news about the paparazzi photo of Jax and Kate on the Internet. Obviously angry, Carly left and went to Sonny’s place to show him the photo. She demanded he keep Kate way from Jax. When his response was not what she was looking for, she left to wait for her husband to come home.

After having her own freak-out about the picture, Kate flew back to Port Charles with Jax to face the music. She went to Sonny to explain the circumstances and he met her with anger, which turned out to be fake. He said he liked it when she was angry. Sonny believed Kate and once that issue was settled, she tried to do some PR damage control. She then started speculating about how Carly was going to get back at her for the picture, probably by trying to seduce Sonny. Sonny tried to reassure her that that would never happen, and she said if it did, they’d be over for good.
