I'll be damned. I've never really been into Mellencamp, but I gave the clips on Amazon a listen and am surprised at how great that album sounds. I may be picking this up soon.

I'm hesitant to say this CODE thing is anything new - it sounds like basically another version of the MVI format Warner was pushing last year which - surprise surprise - has essentially died off this year, as I predicted it would. (Does anyone know of any recent MVI releases?) But I won't complain about them including hi-rez audio along with well-encoded mp3s and AAC files. I just think it's a bit dumb to keep giving DVDs new names when all these things are, are DVDs.

Mark has sold me on the Terry Adams, that's my must-have of the week. I just got the Mellencamp yesterday and I like it. I love Cougar's nuanced singing on it in particular. Thanks for the linkage to Josh's article on the CODE technology used for that record, that was an interesting sidebar.
