The journey into music videos has returned safely from the Holiday zone, continuing its mission to deliver you something worthy of your time.

This week I continue compiling videos and various musical related tid-bits for your viewing pleasure. Some will be brand spanking new, while others will just be things that I like. I am not great with the timeliness yet, but I hope you've been enjoying these video collections.

The majority of the videos will fall in the metal realm, as that is where my primary musical interests lie. My tastes definitely extend beyond metal, but as I read on a forum once: "My tastes may have broadened as I have gotten older, but metal will always be my first love."

In any case, read on and enjoy!

Overcast Signs with Metal Blade

This is a pretty cool bit of news. Before joining Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage, singer Brian Fair and bassist Mike D'Antonio were band mates in a group called Overcast. They worked the Boston circuit from 1991-1998 before calling it quits and moving onto their more successful projects. Now, Overcast has reunited and have signed a deal with Metal Blade Records. Fair and D'Antonio reunite with Pete Cortese (guitar), Steve McCooe (guitar) and Jay Fitzgerald (drums), and will be releasing Reborn to Kill Again in August. The album will be comprised of re-recorded versions of their old cuts. Below is a clip from a reunion show at Club Hypnotic in 2006.

All Shall Perish - Awaken the Dreamers Art and Tracks Streamed

All Shall Perish is readying the release of their next album, Awaken the Dreamers. Two tracks are up on their MySpace page. The songs are called "Never Again" and "Awaken the Dreamers." I like what I hear, it is heavy and brutal. Before these two tracks I had never heard them before, but now I am looking forward to this album's release. Below are the cover art and track list, also be sure to check their MySpace page for a taste of the new material.
