If the series had continued as it was intended, Veronica would have ended up in the FBI. Due to the threat of cancellation, Thomas decided to accelerate his plans for the character. After watching this pitch I definitely wanted to see what would happen next and learn the fates of all the cast from season three. Alas, the series was not picked up and the followers of the show were very disappointed.

There’s also a featurette about the pitch which while interesting would have been better as a commentary track for the pitch we just saw. The very interesting note from this feature is the fact that in twelve days the pitch was written to a completed teaser.

Overall, this set is one that any Veronica Mars fan should have. It’s not only a fond farewell to the sassy spitfire we’ve grown to know and love, but the extras add so much more to the fan experience.
