Music Review: The C Elliot Project Trifecta

The age of the Internet artist is upon us. Thousands of artists work their day job, busting their proverbial butts to make a living. Every free moment, their mind wanders to a dream world where their music and their message are heard by millions. They grab their guitar nightly to release themselves from the pressure of daily life and pour their souls into their music. The result is pure and is what music is all about.

Once upon a time, the music we heard and listened to was controlled. Record and media companies led us down the path that was most profitable to them. They told us what artists to listen to, what artists were good and what to buy. Those days are over.

Today, the internet allows these artists to showcase their talents without restrictions. Their message can be and is heard by millions every day. The landscape is changing and the artists that recognize the new age of music will be the Rolling Stones, U2, and Green Days of the future.

One such artist is The C Elliot Project. C grew up in Montana and achieved great success in college at UNLV by finishing his law degree. In the end, he did not follow the legal career path. "The law really interested me at one point in my life but currently is not ‘the big thing’ for me," he says.

Searching for his path in life, he has achieved excellent success in the health care industry. Working for the same company for over 10 years, he has found a rewarding and successful career.

A source of therapy, C enjoys creating music and songwriting. He has released a 3 track EP called Trifecta. The lead song “Chasing the Wind” is an internet hit leading many of the underground indie sites in plays and downloads. He is the Clear Channel Top 5 New Artist and reached #2 in downloads on MP3.com. He was also nominated for Best Male Vocal by the Los Angeles Music awards.

“Unfrozen” and “Redemption” are the other two tracks. All three are awesome Indie songs with strong influences from artists Depeche Mode  and the Goo Goo Dolls. If you like Depeche Mode, you will love The C Elliot Project.

He has achieved phenomenal success and has received over 1.3 million views to his myspace page. His talent is clear and he has learned to use the internet to get his music out.

So here we have a brilliant artist creating incredible songs in his home studio. He rarely performs live and yet his music and message is being heard. This is a guy who has tremendous untapped talent, and who is reaching his audience the old fashioned way, by word of mouth, perpetuated by the incredible resources of the internet.

“The internet and the way music can now be promoted via this medium have really changed the playing field. I think that it is fantastic for artists like myself that love to create and share their art with others at home and abroad.”

The C Elliot Project is just beginning. He is currently working on new music and he promises to resurface later in the year with new surprises. I can’t wait!

Music is my passion. When I am not working in the real world, I spend my free time exploring world to find top independent and unsigned artists. The undiscovered talent is immense and my mission is to introduce my readers and visitors to these artists. Read, listen, and please support these artists. Visit us at Giggamusic.com
