After Kate left the photo shoot at the MetroCourt, she went to Sonny’s and was swept off her feet when he proposed. She accepted this time and the two started to celebrate. Then she brought up a pre-nup, which threw a wrench into things. Sonny began to doubt Kate’s desire to marry him. She tried to assuage his concerns, saying that in her world pre-nups are SOP, not to mention that his past may come to haunt her and her assets. He wasn’t buying, until she drew a bubble bath and invited him in to play.

Kate was soon off and running making wedding plans. She called Lulu and Maxie over to Sonny’s place to tell them the good news and to start the preparations. Both assistants did their best to express their concerns, but Kate would hear none of it. Maxie then got a call from Jason telling her Spinelli was in the hospital with the Asian bug. She raced to GH to check on her friend and ran into Claudia in the waiting room. Maxie assured the Mob Princess that she was most certainly still trying to bed Johnny, if not for the $20,000 Claudia promised then just for the chance to stick it to Lulu. She then went into to make sure Spinelli was alright and kissed him on the cheek, which had a noticeably positive effect in his spirits.

On her visit to the Jackal the following day, Maxie literally ran into GH’s new resident, Dr. Hunter (see Scoops and Spoiler below), who proceeded to treat her rudely in the hall. Nikolas was there to remind Dr. Hunter that it was he who selected him for a new program and he expected Hunter to treat everyone with respect. Maxie then went into see Spinelli, who was reeling from having said he thought Claudia was crushing on Jason in front of Liz – not to mention his constant self-blame for bringing this virus upon his friends. Maxie agreed that his behavior at the Haunted Star was silly, but him ordering pizza was not something he should beat himself up about. As a swell of guilt about Liz flared up, Spinelli tried to get up and find Nurse Webber. Maxie wrestled him back down just as Dr. Hunter entered the room. He told her to keep her sex life out of the hospital and Maxie led him to believe that they get it on all the time. These two are so going to be getting together.
