Wall-E is not perfect and for people like me who think too much, there will be unanswered questions – like why did everyone speak English on the ships and what happened to the rest of the world’s inhabitants? It is, however, more than just a cute love story. Despite its dark undercurrents, it shows how an unlikely love between a couple of robots can point to a hopeful future for the human race. Well done!
