This week began with the mayor telling Nikolas that he didn’t approve of the free clinic. After Nik insinuated that the mayor was receiving kickbacks from the pharma companies and that was the reason for his opposition to the project, Floyd promised that the clinic’s permits would not be approved. Undeterred, Nikolas told Nadine that one way or another, the clinic would become a reality. After Nadine left, Lulu stopped by for a heart-to-heart with her big brother about their personal lives.

Maxie and Johnny shared a moment at the overlook when she showed up to get some time alone after finding out that Georgie had been accepted to the exchange program in Italy her sister had been so excited about. Maxie waxed on about Georgie, and she and Johnny found some common ground over the love of their sisters. Lulu found the two together, and though Maxie said her being there the same time as Johnny was mere coincidence, Lulu wasn’t buying, going so far as to accuse Maxie of fabricating everything to get into Johnny’s bed.

After Maxie left, Johnny told Lulu to back off, which she didn’t take to kindly. Lulu said she didn’t trust Maxie at all and was beginning to doubt Johnny when he’s alone with her. Later, though, Lulu apologized to Maxie about what she said about Georgie, but added that it’s not okay to go after Johnny. Maxie put on her doe eyes and innocent voice, saying there’s no reason she wouldn’t go after Johnny because she liked him. Then she offered Lulu a wager: if Maxie won one spin on the roulette wheel, she could have a date with Johnny; if she lost, she’d stay away from Lulu’s boyfriend. Johnny walked in as Lulu agreed, and though angry about the whole thing, agreed to play, just to teach Lulu a lesson.

Finally, Sam and Lucky's Mexican romp ended, with Sam feigning illness to get out of jail. The guard who came to see what was wrong recognized her; they’d pulled some jobs together and he agreed to get her out, promising to make sure the paperwork said she was released, so she wouldn’t have to worry about being a fugitive. Sam and Lucky made their way into the wilderness to wait for Luke and had some bonding time over coffee and campfire.
