Making the Rounds at General Hospital: Jason Gets Quarantined

Carly started to have doubts about asking Sonny to give up his rights to her sons after an emotional Father’s Day on Friday. Sonny did not take receiving Michael’s gift, ordered before his shooting, very well, and he was downright heartbroken over Morgan’s gift when Carly brought it to him. Remnants of Alexis’s panic after Carly told her that she couldn’t persuade Sonny to give up Kristina also followed her as she went to Jason’s apartment to release some emotional stress. Jason comforted her and told her that he was amazed at how strong she is in light of the tragedies she’s faced. But he also counseled her that moving on is the best way to deal with her son’s coma.

After meeting with Carly, Alexis was on her way to a full-on meltdown when Diane stopped by her office. Diane let Alexis know that short of Sonny signing the paperwork, it didn’t look good that there would be any legal way to force him to give up his rights to Kristina. Even more distraught over this news, Alexis was not at her best to deal with Anthony Zacchara, her next visitor. Though he said he had no intention of hurting Kristina, his overall message was threatening; he also said that he doesn’t believe that Sonny is out of the business.

When Carly showed up at the Haunted Star, she was introduced to Giselle, who was with Jax, Kate, and Sonny. Giselle put two and two together about the relationships here and suggested to Kate that maybe her interest in Jax is not purely a business one. Meanwhile, Carly and Sonny had a heart-to-heart at the bar. She apologized to Sonny about what happened earlier. Then Alexis showed up and let her emotions run over, accusing them both of not caring what happens to their children and making a public spectacle.

It was Jerry who showed up to rescue Alexis from her own emotions and whisked her back to his penthouse. After Alexis confided in him about her fears and Anthony’s threats, Jerry swore that he would protect them both. Though Alexis was wary of Jerry and his dangerous history, she was swept up in the overwhelming emotion of the day and finally gave in to Jerry’s advances.

Business politics and innuendo continued between Kate and Giselle, but when Maxie showed up, Spinelli’s Aussie playboy façade that Giselle was eating up crumbled very publicly. Maxie exposed the fraud because she thought Spinelli was trying to mess with Giselle, a move she thought would endanger Crimson. Humiliated, Spinelli got rantingly drunk. Claudia found him on the ground and helped him home (read: Jason’s penthouse).
