<description>Can&#039;t beat Tony joes rendition.

Not Elvis&#039;s best format, anyhow. He&#039;s unconvincing on this song. Ballads are his best form, and other styles are just for variety, for seasoning.

<description>Firstly, let&#039;s remember that Elvis&#039;s version of Polk salad was a &#039;live&#039; version, so did not have that studio feel like White&#039;s. Musically, White&#039;s version is better BUT as a &#039;live&#039;song, Elvis makes it all his own.They&#039;re both good in their own ways.</description>

<description>Elvis&#039; version of &#039;Polk salad Annie&#039; cannot be beaten. It absolutely blows away Tony Joe&#039;s version. Further, when Elvis performed this song on stage it was one of the highlights of the show.</description>
