He was opening for I wanna' say Aerosmith and wanted to hang out in Seattle afterwards. Super nice guy. We took him to Alki Beach, which was a popular Seattle crising spot for teens, and really freaked everyone out when he got out of the car and started signing autographs for everybody. I've seen Derringer play several times, both solo and with Johnny and Edgar Winter, and he was always a great guitarist who never really got his due.
