Looking At Next Season

Both shows got early renewals for next season, so that means the cliffhanger fairy could be paying visits. It will be interesting to see the direction both of these shows take, since both are facing challenges of a shrinking budget on a financially strapped network. Smallville will be without their creators for what is likely their final season, since Al Gough and Miles Millar left the show abruptly, and two key actors, Michael Rosenbaum and Kristin Kreuk, won’t be back full time. Supernatural gets to show an epic demon war with toned down scenes that involve skirmishes and off camera battles , not to mention the likelihood even less of the trademark classic rock, which was already cut down this season because of budget.

Still, whatever the obstacles, most loyal fans manage to tune in. The CW is lucky to have both these shows and their loyal viewers as well. So now I can start begging those who are thinking about watching the other networks instead. Please watch Smallville and Supernatural live, and DVR the other shows. Pretty please?
