Win $10,000 By Supporting The Planet

The environment is a huge issue. With all the stress and focus on the war, it's easy to forget about the environment and all the cuddly creatures in it. Although some politicians like Al Gore, with his passion for informing the public about global warming (regardless if you believe it or not, it's still is a huge debate for environmentalists), try to help the environment, it is not enough. If our government refuses to address today's environmental issues, we, the people, must. So, in sync with the premiere of the second season of The Green, Lexus Hybrid Living is sponsoring the "What's The Big Idea?" contest.
The Green focuses on major environmental issues such as climate change and energy. The show premiered on April Fool's Day on the Sundance Channel. New episodes premiere every Tuesday night at 9 PM ET. The show aims to tell its viewers "how to work green, play green, eat green, dress green and live green."
Contestants (ages 18 and up) can win $10,000 by submitting a short one-minute film or a photo essay to show the judges how they "work green, play green, eat green, dress green and live green." The four runners-up will receive a Sundance Channel Green VIP bag.
You have from now to May 20 to make your visual presentation and share your big idea to help the environment. Sundance Channel will pick the top 25. Then, the public will vote for their favorites out of those 25 between May 27 and June 24. The top five most voted of those will be reviewed by environmental experts, who will finally decide the winner. The winner will be announced July 7.
So, go save the environment. Make something out of your life instead of sitting around watching American Idol (not that there's a problem with that) or YouTube (we all realize it's addicting, but after a while, it becomes a waste of time). Besides, making ten grand by saving the environment is basically killing two birds with one stone.
