Thank you, and a happy Passover to you! (If you live through it.) I'd love to spend it in Jerusalem.

Comment by Ruvy in Jerusalem on Getting Ready for Passover

My wife sat next to me reading this aloud, Miriam. Her first comment when she finished was, "it's so nice that we only have to have one Seder."
And as you know, I'm sure, in Israel we only have one Seder.

And I agree. All this cleaning and changing dishes, and buying special foods that we would not think of eating during the rest of the year - like a hard cracker that doesn't even taste as good as the box it comes in!

On the other hand, PessaH gives us a chance to clean out the house, getting rid of all the crap we should have dumped months previous.

On the third hand, it is so much nicer having a Seder here in Israel, ending it with "Next year in Jerusalem rebuilt!" We look out over the view of our ancient Land, sitting sodden with wine, belching our satisfaction at having finished off another huge feast, dreaming of the golden Temple of the days to come - soon.

Have a happy Passover in Joizey. But one year, try doing it here. That's what we're supposed to do, you know.
