It felt more like a desperate attempt to knock network executives (oh, that's original!) and a bunch of Harvard graduates trying to suck up to the daughter of Al Gore (and Mr. Gore himself) who, coincidentally, happens to be (or was) a writer on the show. The episodes I have caught post-strike have not caught my interest so much. I didn't really think about it much, so thank you for doing the thinking for me...From what I see, I would have to agree with you. I hope that the writers savvy comes back to form.
