I like Oberweis ice cream. Dislike the man, love the dairy ;)

Lee--I agree that November might prove a stunning reality check for the right. I forcast dirty tricks on the horizon, however, in an effort to keep hold of the White House.

Red state Virginia had two "unbeatable" Republican senators in 2006. Unless a big upset occurs, it will have two Democrats in the senate next year, and the Democratic candidates for president are at least as popular as McCain is here because Democrats and independents are energized and many Republicans are not that enthusiastic about him.

I agree. Oberweis is an idiot and inherently weak candidate. One can expect the seat to go Republican in the next election.
I do like the Oberweis chocolate milk though :)

John, the stunning part is that Hastert's (of all seats) was taken by the Dems. This is the heart of Reagan-land. Why run Oberweis if he's such a loser? Were the Repubs so arrogant that they thought they could run anyone and still win? I think the win by Foster speaks to a bigger Republican problem.

Its not stunning, Oberweis has a long history of blowing sure things. He even gets a second chance to blow it again in November.
